End User Licence Agreement
Last updated: November 4, 2026 | Effective date: November 4, 2026
This agreement is the licence for the Gulani Stores apps you install on a phone, tablet or computer. Using the service those apps connect to is covered by our Terms of Service.
1. This Agreement
This End User Licence Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Gulani Stores Limited ("Gulani Stores," "we," "us," or "our"), a company based in Ndola, Zambia. It applies to the following apps, including their updates (each an "App"):
- Gulani Store Manager for Android, from Google Play or from our website;
- Gulani Stores for Windows and Linux;
- Gulani Thermal Printing Service and our other receipt printing apps.
By installing or using an App, you agree to this Agreement. If you install an App for a business, you agree to it for that business. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
2. Your Licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install the Apps on devices that you own or control, and to use them to run your business with the Gulani Stores service, for as long as your account is in good standing. You may install the Apps on as many devices as your plan allows.
The Apps are licensed, not sold. We, or the people who license them to us, keep ownership of the Apps, including all copies, the Gulani Stores name and logo, and all intellectual property in them.
3. What You May Not Do
Except where the law allows it even though this Agreement says otherwise, you may not:
- copy, change, translate or make works based on an App;
- reverse engineer, decompile or take apart an App, or try to find its source code;
- remove or change any copyright notice, trade mark or label in an App;
- rent, lend, sell, resell, sublicense or share an App with anyone outside your business;
- get around any security, licence check or usage limit in an App;
- use an App to build a competing product, or to break any law.
4. Accounts, Plans and Payment
Most features need a Gulani Stores account and, after the free trial, a paid plan. Plans, payment, refunds and cancellation are covered by our Terms of Service and our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
5. Updates
We release updates to fix problems, keep the Apps secure and add features. An App may tell you when an update is ready. Some updates are required: when an older version can no longer work safely with the service, the App will ask you to update before you can continue. This Agreement applies to every update, unless the update comes with its own terms.
6. Data on Your Device
The Apps keep some of your data on your device, such as products, settings and sales made while you were offline, until they are sent to our servers. You are responsible for keeping your devices secure and for connecting them regularly so that your data is sent. Removing an App, or resetting a device, deletes anything that has not been sent yet. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
7. Device Permissions
An App may ask for permission to use parts of your device, for example the camera to scan barcodes or Bluetooth to connect to a receipt printer. The App asks before using them, and you can turn them off in your device settings. Some features will not work without them.
8. Other Software in the Apps
The Apps include open-source software made by others. That software is licensed to you under its own licence, and nothing in this Agreement limits your rights under those licences.
9. Google Play and Other App Stores
If you got an App from Google Play or another app store:
- this Agreement is between you and us, not the app store, and we, not the app store, are responsible for the App and for support;
- you must also follow the app store's own terms of use;
- the app store has no duty to provide maintenance or support for the App.
10. No Warranty
We build the Apps with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, the Apps are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that they will be free of errors, work on every device, or work without interruption. Check important figures, such as stock counts, tax returns and payments, before you rely on them.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data, and our total liability under this Agreement is limited as set out in our Terms of Service. Nothing in this Agreement limits any rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
12. Ending This Licence
You can end this Agreement at any time by deleting the Apps from your devices. Your licence ends automatically if you break this Agreement, or if your account is closed. When it ends, you must stop using the Apps and delete them. Sections 3 and 8 to 13 continue to apply after it ends.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Zambia. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@gulanistores.co.zm. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be decided by the courts of Zambia.
14. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and tell you about significant changes by email or in the App.
15. Contact Us
